Potpourri

Tonight I thought I'd show you some of my recent thrifting finds...

This great little cabinet will get a new paint colour and new knobs.  It would make a great end table, a display hutch on a bigger table or a hanging cabinet.  What colour will it be??  Well that depends on what I find for the knobs but it will be for sale.

This lovely little dresser scarf is hand embroidered.  I wonder if it was a young girl's embroidery project that rested proudly on her dresser for years.

A couple of boxes of canning jars - mostly Crown.  Now what am I going to do with these?? Hmmm...

A couple are green glass so I know that those are definitely mine!

A heavy silver serving bowl and 2 old rolling pins.  The one with red handles is thinner than any I've seen before.  The other one used to have apple green handles.  You can still see slight traces of the paint.  It is very odd.  Two different types of handles - intentional or a repair...All will be for sale too.

Finally I got this cute little wooden basket with a lid and a handle.  It will definitely be painted and maybe a graphic or stencil on top.  And again, this will be for sale.  Details later...

  1. Great finds Julie. Looks like you hit the jackpot. I haven't been doing much hunting this summer since I'm not selling at the store anymore and can't seem to get motivated to list anything on Etsy.
How is the bedroom makeover going? I haven't been reading blogs much of late, so if you posted about it, let me know so I can see how it turned out.

  2. These look like some fun projects in the ruff. I don't recall ever seeing a canning jar with glass in the lid, and green, but I can picture it full of cherries or peaches and sitting on a pantry shelf. Enjoy your day.

  3. Wauhh ... Some beautiful cases.
Love the old glass, the ones I'd like to own.

Always looking for them at flea markets, but they are hard to find in Denmark.

    Have a nice evening
