White Peonies

My white peonies came out in bloom today.  They are gorgeous and I'm so happy that I got them tied up before they all flopped to the ground.

The buds open white with red stripes and then turn a pale blush pink.

The fragrance is heady and fills the room.

I love this time of year when I can cut a beautiful bouquet of white flowers and bring the outdoors in.

  2. Julie,

Hello! So nice to meet another fellow Canadian. I totally understand you and can SO relate! Case(s) in point: Sarah and Tommy, Homesense, cupcakes, Tim Horton's, lilacs, PEONIES!!! Love them both these flowers because they take me back to my childhood and to Toronto. I grew up in North York in a modest little house that happened to have a heavenly scented garden! I remember taking beautiful bouquets of peonies to my teachers and can still smell their unique scent...dreamy! I'm so glad you stopped by my place and hope to see you there again soon. Thanks for the comment; I appreciate it.
