Peaches from Niagara

The Breakfast of Champions!

I love this time of year when all the fresh fruit and vegetables come to market, especially the peaches. When I was a child, my Uncle Harold and Aunt Marg would come from St. Catharines to camp at Pigeon Lake near Peterborough.  They would often bring a bushel of fruit from the Niagara orchards.  My favourites were the peaches.  Mom would can some for winter eating and she would make pies and crisps but the best was a fresh juicy peach.  One of the best breakfasts.

  1. I agree - peaches are the best! We have a town about an hour from here - Porter - which is famous for their peaches. Yum!
